Fair Dinkum Builds is proud to be a long-term supporter of the Australian Men's Shed Association (AMSA).
David Helmers, AMSA Executive Officer
We know Australian sheds offer so much more to the local community than shelter and storage. Each men's, women's, and community shed is home to a vibrant community founded on the principle of sharing information.
It's a safe space for people from all walks of life to have a yarn, embrace mateship, and combine their skills to create something meaningful for the broader community.
The Australian Men's Shed Association (AMSA) is the peak government-funded body representing an estimated 150,000 individuals within the shedding community. It provides practical support, specialised services and resources to over 1000 registered Men's Sheds nationwide.
The Association recognises a Men's Shed as a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation whose primary activity is to provide a safe, friendly and healing environment where Men can work on meaningful projects at their own pace in the company of other men.
The concept of Men's Shed has now broadened to incorporate women's and community sheds and spread internationally to other countries, including New Zealand, the UK, Canada, and South Africa.
As part of our partnership agreement, Fair Dinkum Builds participates in an exciting schedule of shedding community events, which includes the upcoming:
We also support AMSA's national program of community events, helpful blogs and more.
If you're a member of a registered AMSA member shed, you can get in touch via email at mensshed@fairdinkumbuilds.com.au.
