At Fair Dinkum Builds, we love to celebrate success. And there was plenty of celebrations on show at our 2026 Beyond Better Conference.
Over two-and-a-half-days, more than 180 franchisees, sponsors and partners from across Australia gathered in Brisbane for in-depth business sessions, strategic planning and networking opportunities, all focused on helping franchisees continue to grow stronger their businesses and deliver outstanding outcomes for customers.
The event culminated with the highly anticipated Beyond Better Gala Awards Evening, where the network came together to recognise the exceptional businesses, people and projects that continue to raise the bar across Fair Dinkum Builds.
Franchisee of the Year
The most prestigious award of the evening, Franchisee of the Year, was awarded to Jarrod Street and his team at Fair Dinkum Builds Avon Valley. The Franchisee of the Year Award recognises a franchisee who consistently demonstrates excellence across all aspects of their business and embodies the values of Fair Dinkum Builds through:
1. Excellence in brand execution, both online and in-store
2. Excellence in business performance, sales and marketing
3. Excellence in participation and contribution to the wider franchise network
Adding to an already impressive year, Fair Dinkum Builds Avon Valley also won the National Sales Growth Award and was named a finalist at the 2026 WA Franchise Industry Awards.
Rookie of the Year
The 2026 Beyond Better Conference featured the presentation of the inaugural Fair Dinkum Builds Rookie of the Year Award. This award, presented to Fair Dinkum Builds Alexandra recognises a franchisee who has made an outstanding impact within their first two years in the network, embracing the Fair Dinkum Builds system, delivering strong business results and setting a high standard from day one.
Franchisee Andrew Strong's commitment to the franchise system and investment in growing his business has delivered exceptional outcomes and established Alexandra as one of the network's rising stars.
Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award
One of the highlights of the gala evening was the presentation of the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award to Franchise Support and Administration Manager Julie Prehna (NSW JP). With 20 years of loyal service behind her, over the years Julie has helped shape the success of the organisation and has set a standard of professionalism and integrity for others to follow. Beyond her accomplishments, Julie is a trusted mentor, respected leader, and a valued advocate for growth and collaboration.
National Sales Award
The National Sales Award is the longest-running award in the Fair Dinkum Builds network and recognises exceptional business success achieved through best-practice systems, processes and people. The team at Fair Dinkum Builds Western Sheds came up trumps, taking out this highly anticipated award.

Shed Build of the Year - 50m² & Under
A perfect example of functionality done well by Fair Dinkum Builds Central Coast . This winning design makes clever use of the three-fold bracket system, creating a clear-span end wall of 6 metres and maximising usable wall space for the owner’s gym equipment. The uneven bay layout has been thoughtfully planned, allowing the larger bay to serve as a dedicated workout area while the smaller bay provides a practical space for client work. The inclusion of two whirlybirds adds another smart touch, helping ventilate the space after every hard-working session. Overall, this is a well-considered and well-executed design that balances functionality, efficiency and purpose.
Shed Build of the Year - 51m² to 80m²
Sleek, elegant and effortlessly classy, this 12m x 6m shed with striking 30 deg roof pitch, is a standout example of simplicity done exceptionally well. The use of Sharpline cladding gives the design a refined, premium finish, and the cladding continuation on the sliding door adds strength, presence and sophistication. The design achieves a clean, balanced and highly functional layout. This award-winning shed impressed all with its beauty, elegance and understated confidence - a superb shed by Fair Dinkum Builds Melbourne Garages.
Shed Build of the Year - 81m² and Over
This winning shed brings from Fair Dinkum Builds Wangaratta together all the design features you would hope to see in a truly picturesque and highly functional build. The single 5-degree monopitch roof, with three-fold bracketry design and subtle 200 millimetre drop into a 3m lean-to create a design that is both practical and visually striking. With one enclosed bay and two open bays, the lean-to adds genuine functionality and purpose to the overall structure. The use of SHS post replacements in the open lean-to bays gives the design a refined and polished finish, creating a relaxed verandah feel where the customer can unwind after a hard day’s work. Along the high sidewall, six windows allow natural light to flood the space, completing what is a beautifully designed and well-built Fair Dinkum Builds shed.
Carport Build of the Year
Dutch gable carports are not always known for being the most attractive designs, but this winning entry proves they can be both practical and visually impressive. This carport provides generous clearance to safely house the family’s toys, while still delivering a clean and well-balanced appearance. The striking roof colour set against the rustic gate gives the design real character, allowing the craftsmanship to shine through. A functional, eye-catching and well-executed carport by Fair Dinkum Builds Brisbane Bayside.
Patio Build of the Year
One look at this patio, and it is enough to stop you in your tracks. This showstopping patio by Fair Dinkum Builds Topline Sheds makes outstanding use of our single one-piece Sunset beam, creating a bold and seamless feature that immediately sets it apart. The clever use of offset posts and roof penetrations allows the patio roof to be raised above the two stunning shed structures, bringing additional height, openness and natural light into the shared entertaining area. The insulated roof design provides a smooth, polished finish, while the addition of fan kits and downlights creates a space that is not only practical, but comfortable and inviting. Altogether, this patio is a striking example of thoughtful design, smart engineering and impressive visual impact – a truly award-winning outdoor entertaining space.
